2014 Georgia Research Grant Program

CRDF Global, the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation (SRNSF), and the Georgian Research and Development Foundation (GRDF) are pleased to announce the 2014 Georgia Research Grant Program competition. This program aims to support high-quality, innovative biological research in disciplines of interest to DTRA and of importance to the Georgian scientific community and to establish sustainable Georgian research collaborations. The program requires the participation of one Georgian Principal Investigator and may involve regional or international collaborators.

Applications for this competition should support the objectives and priorities of the Cooperative Biological Engagement Program of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), as described in the Program Announcement. Two grants of up to $141,000 each will be awarded under this competition. Funding for this competition has been provided by DTRA under Fundamental Research Award #HDTRA1-11-1-0061 to CRDF Global. Additional funding has been provided by SRNSF. 

This research grant competition will be conducted in two phases. Phase I will require submission by interested parties of a white paper outlining the goals, objectives, research plan, and expected outcomes and benefits of the proposed project. For Phase II, full proposals will be invited from teams whose white papers are of sufficient merit and interest to DTRA.
