CRDF Global, the Georgian Research and Development Foundation (GRDF) and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation (SRNSF) invite Georgian scientists to apply to the 2013 Early Career Scholars grant competition. The competition will provide grants to support the career development of promising young Georgian researchers by offering the opportunity to train and work at a host lab in the U.S. or elsewhere for up to 6 months, with continued support (up to one year) for research and knowledge sharing upon the participants’ return to Georgia.
Applications for this competition should support the objectives and priorities of the Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP) of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), U.S. Department of Defense, or must address SRNSF and Georgian national priorities in the areas as described in the Program Announcement. Duration of the proposed projects or activities should be up to 18 months. 10 grants of up to $30,000 each will be awarded under this competition. Funding for this competition has been provided by DTRA under Fundamental Research Award #HDTRA1-11-1-0061 to CRDF Global and from SRNSF. This program will be implemented in partnership with GRDF
