Business Partnership Grants program promotes research and development (R&D) partnerships between companies (Company) and teams of scientists (Science Team) to develop new commercial opportunities of economic benefit to both parties.
Projects must have R&D as their core task and must include preliminary market assessment; customer needs analysis, and business development components.
BPG projects are limited to a maximum of 12 months. Funds for projects are provided by the CRDF, GNSF and GRDF. Funds for each award are limited up to 40,000 GEL (~24,000 USD). At least 15% of company cash contribution is mandatory. New Science Team /Company Partnership is preferable.
All funds must be used for Science Team expenses.

Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Program (STEP)

The Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Program (STEP) is intended to foster innovation sector growth through the development of the scientific business community consisting of scientific entrepreneurs and a network of supporters including trade associations, business service providers, financiers, legal service providers, educational and training institutions and service providers, and enterprise development organizations and agencies.  Through STEP, participating institutions enhance their capacity to encourage the development of scientific business between local scientific entrepreneurs and both domestic and U.S. industry.

The program goals are to:

1.      Promote commercial entrepreneurship for scientists through training

2.      Engage entrepreneurial scientists in a dialogue with business and the business support community

3.      Develop the capacity of indigenous institutions to promote the innovation sector

This site is a unique opportunity to Companies to present their problems and needs to the scientific society. It also enables company/scientist:

  •  to review submitted proposals
  • to place on the site proposed projects
  •  to suggest ways how to solve a problem stated by company.
